ACTIVITIES - RENEWABLES - OFFSHORE WIND
As demand increases in the renewable energy sector, EastPort UK is ideally placed to become a key strategic base for the manufacture, construction, installation, operations and maintenance of wind farm developments in the North Sea.
Labour, facilities and support infrastructure is already established as is the culture required to deliver the service levels the industry requires.
The newly constructed outer harbour which became operational in February 2010 provides significant quay space, available land and deep water with direct from sea access. Having permitted development rights, the outer harbour offers rapid delivery of new facilities.
The port is the closest deep water facility to the East Anglia Offshore Wind Farm site and the near Continent, and arguably has the largest concentration of offshore wind projects in the world within 100 miles of the port.
In recent months, vessls working on Sheringham Shoal, Greater Gabbard, and Lincs Offshore Wind Farms have utilised the facilities at the outer harbour.
