Projects
As well as everyday handling operations, EastPort UK has developed specialist skills in handling specific projects and is perfectly placed to extend that business into the future.
Specialist Skills include:
• Wind farms
• Pipelines
• Offshore modules
The port continues to be heavily involved in the rapidly developing world of
wind farm construction both off the North Sea coast and at shore locations around East Anglia.

It has built up handling skills from its key role in the development of the Scroby Sands wind farm on Yarmouth's doorstep. That has led to projects such as Norfolk's Pickenham wind farm.
The port's
pipeline expertise is founded on its pivotal role in the Elgin Franklin project in the late '90s which led to new business including the King's Lynn-Bacton pipeline link.
It also has considerable experience in
shipping out modules to offshore installations, one of the flagship operations being a module for Norwich-based Aquaterra Energy, bound for Angola.
The introduction of the
Outer Harbour in early 2009 will complement the existing facilities by being able to offer direct deep water access (10m) supported by a modern port infrastructure capable of raising the standard of efficiency demanded by complex projects.
