Mooring services are provided by the Pilot boat crew on a 24/7 basis. Working either from a Port vehicle or the Pilot boat mooring services can be contracted by contacting either Yarmouth Pilots or Port Operations on VHF Channel 12. Normally 1 Hour's notice of requirements will be required out of normal working hours and during busy periods advance notice is advantageous.

Tug services are provided through the Port's contract with an approved tup operator. Bookings for tugs should be made through Port Operations after consultation with the Pilots.
The Company operates a "shipping off" service for personnel, using the Pilot boats or the survey launch "Compass". Pilot boats can carry 4 passengers when not operating with a Pilot and the "Compass" carries 6 passengers.

All passengers must wear lifejackets and follow the instructions of the Coxswain. Stores can be carried although space is limited. There is a weight limit of 20 Kg on individual items on the Pilot boats.

Admiral DayThere is a small fleet of vessels comprised of three pilot cutters, a dredger, a survey vessel and a river launch. The vessels carry out the routine conservancy function of the Port but are available for third party hire through the Harbour OfficeCompass.
